Trying to Rebound

Tweet La Chica Rica returns tonight at Mountaineer Park in a 5 1/2 furlong sprint allowance race for a $41,600 purse. Her five race winning streak ended ended on 30Aug at Timonium in a 6 1/2 furlong overnight stakes race. She shortens up to a distance that I believe suits her well, but faces some decent competition as the 8-5 ML favorite. Be Golden ships in after trying an $80K stakes at the Spa in mid-August and is the second choice behind Chica and looks to be one of three other speed horses to challenge her on the front end. Pay the Man, winner of a $75K route race last time out, shortens up to a sprint and has the highest speed figure last race out, and has morning line odds of 6-1. Look for Chica to prevail with these two and High Heritage, chasing her in the early fractions. Post time for race 8 is 9:55pm. (Update: La Chica rebounds to win over High Heritage and Pay the Man..another $24K in the Bella Cavello coffers...great work guys!)
