It had to be fate. On Lori Partridge Day at Pimlico (let's make that black-eyed Susan Dey) as eerily foreseen here earlier today, David Cassidy-bred Sweet Vendetta won the BES in a late drive in the slop overtaking Shes All Eltish and Garrett Gomez in the final furlong giving EquiSpace Gaming a sweet $86 exacta and a day well in the black after boxing those two and Highest Class. Couple that with Student Council (7-1) winning the Special and our saver Special/Preakness double ticket with Gayego ($235.80 will pay) and Big Brown ($20.20 will pay), there is a tomorrow!
Here is a cool link to the Preakness Pedigree Profiles.
Looking forward to tomorrow's Preakness, I have broken it down to this. Only two horses, in my humble opinion can win this race, that being Big Brown and Gayego (and we know who we are now rooting heavily for). Even with a projected bounce of the Big Bad Whiteboard, the rest of this field just isn't that good. Gayego didn't exert much energy on the First Saturday of May and has experienced Classic rider Mike Smith looking to avenge his 17th place finish. We will be playing the exotics and the selections underneath those two may generate some decent payouts. In the second hole I will insert Ichabad Crane and Kentucky Bear and it looks like I may play the ALL button for third (odds of a bomb hitting third is pretty good). The horse that should be closing late is Racecar Rhapsody and I project him to be around to clean up the tri or super. So here are my exacta thoughts tonight.
Main exacta play: $5 EXB: 7, 12
Backup exactas: $2 EXB: 3,6,7 $2 EXB: 7,8 $2 EXW 7 w/1,2,6, 10, 11
$2 EXW: 12 w/3,6,7,8
So far so good, may the gaming forces be with you.
